Nature
Taking care of your physical body is a part of being a human being. There are plenty of ways in which you can ensure that your body is in shape. One of the simplest ways to do so is by being in nature. When many of us were children our parents would let us go outside and play all day. Being in nature enables you to breathe fresh air and become one with your environment. Did you know that being in nature helps to build your immune system? And by building your immune system you are less susceptible to falling ill to cold and flu viruses.
Today many people are realizing the importance of getting back to nature. However, for many who are still sitting the fence allow me to enlighten you to what you can do while in nature. First you must decide if you would like to walk in your neighborhood or go to a local park. I have personally walked the gritty streets on the South Side of Chicago, the muggy streets of Louisiana as well as the desert streets of Texas. Once you have found where you want to walk you can then either enjoy nature and all its interactions or you can put your earbuds in and listen to your favorite music.
There are also ways to track your health data while you are out in nature. You can track your steps using a pedometer which is an electronic motion detecting device that can also track your walking distance, number of calories burned and the moment in time that these events occurred. There is also wearable technology in the form of a watch or smartwatch that you can use to track your workouts, sleep pattern, nutrition, heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, blood glucose and even ECG monitoring. There are also fitness tracking apps available for smartphones that you can access to track and monitor your health data.
